UKISCRS Annual Congress

This complex congress of UK & Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons was demanding in terms of video.

My role was to operate switchers, media playback software and all presentation laptops (PowerPoint and Keynote) as well as full routing setup, assigning PIP layers with presentations, cameras and timetable according to clients needs and full setup of LED wall.

Event managers idea was to give all speakers freedom to deliver their presentation any time they want.

My solution for this was set up of “green room” where all presenters could upload and test their presentations anytime during event, no matter what format they were. Next, technician operating this room was sending ready and tested presentations straight to my equipment through local network so I had them ready to go whenever presenter was scheduled to begin his presentation.

This way we avoided all problems that could occur including every detail like proper fonts to be loaded with presentation etc.
